Spring is upon us- Hooray! We made it through another winter; hopefully we won’t get one more blast of artic weather. If you’re like me, as soon as the sun starts shining, the birds start chirping, and the temperature starts rising, I am in cleaning mode! Spring Cleaning is actually a lot of fun for me. There is nothing quite like getting rid of those winter blues by getting rid of things you’ve grown sick of (like that winter sweater you wore almost everyday). I suddenly start cleaning more, as if I am wiping away that last little bit of snow on the ground that seems to take forever to melt. I start getting out all my summer dishes from hibernation as if I am getting ready to start grilling and eating outside at the first opportunity the temperature is above fifty degrees. My refrigerator all of a sudden seems to be stocked with colorful fruits and veggies as if I am trying to bring the spring into my house to re-create the happy warmth that is occurring outside.  I don’t know about you, but I seem to really get excited about cooking in the spring and summer. There is something exciting about how the vibrant colors make my dishes look so pretty; not to mention taste healthy and delicious! And perhaps maybe the best thing- I start to upgrade things in my house to reflect my new, refreshed spring-time mood.  Being that I was buying so many fresh fruits and veggies, I knew I needed to buy a high quality refrigerator that would allow those fruits and veggies to stay fresh and not spoil quite as quickly. Sounds silly, but it’s true! And I would actually save money on groceries and be less wasteful. So, there began my hunt for a new refrigerator.

On my search, I decided to explore all the different options- because there are so many now! I knew that I definitely wanted a refrigerator-freezer combo with the freezer on the bottom. I knew that I wanted a french door style refrigerator in stainless steel- preferably smudge proof. Not sure if it’s weird that I am getting so pumped up about this refrigerator, haha, but this thing is awesome! Just look at it!

After much thought, I decided to go with what I loved… You guessed it! The first one I picked made the most sense for me. And although it was quite a bit more expensive than the others I found, I knew that this was exactly what I was looking for. It would allow me to continue to buy healthier, fresh foods; would actually save me money in the long run by lowering my electricity bills and grocery expenses (throwing away food is not something I enjoy!). Not to mention, having filtered water built right into the refrigerator was also very appealing to me. Pretty much, the pros outweighed the cons and I couldn’t be happier with my choice.
